Sir Alex Ferguson is confident winning the race for Arsenal star Samir Nasri.
The Daily Star says Ferguson believes his £20m bid for Nasri will see him win the race to sign the Arsenal star.
The Manchester United boss faces competition from Chelsea and Manchester City for the French ace.
But Fergie remains the only boss to make a firm offer for the 24-year-old playmaker and will refuse to get involved in a bidding war with his richer rivals.
Reports that the Gunners have rejected United’s bid are wide of the mark, as are suggestions City are set to hijack Nasri’s move to Old Trafford.
United lodged their bid two weeks ago and Nasri has told Arsene Wenger he wants to join the Premier League champions.
Fergie is so relaxed about landing Nasri that he jetted to Scotland yesterday and joined friends to watch the Scottish Open at Castle Stuart near Inverness.
