Man Utd put De Gea on special weights and diet programme

Manchester United are putting David De Gea on a special weights programme.

The Daily Star Sunday says United are ready to bulk-up new goalkeeper De Gea for the physical challenge of the Premier League.

In paying £18million to Atletico Madrid for De Gea, 20, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is convinced he has signed the best young goalkeeper in the world to succeed the retired Edwin van der Sar.

Now, United plan to assess whether the slim-line keeper needs to go on a special fitness and diet programme to generate more muscle.
