Manchester United defender Chris Smalling has enjoyed a bumper pay-rise with signing his new five-year contract.
The Sun says Smalling, 21, sees his pay packet rise to £50,000 a week.
Boss Alex Ferguson said: "Chris has been outstanding and is a great asset to the team."
Smalling, who joined United last summer from Fulham in a £10million deal, made 34 appearances last season covering for Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic.
