Is Edwin van der Sar planning a Manchester United comeback?

The Sunday Express says Van der Sar has sparked rumours he may make a retirement U-turn by training with Manchester United.

The goalkeeper emotionally hung up his gloves at the end of last season.

But he has surprisingly made a number of appearances at the Red Devils’ Carrington training complex over the past week.

“Everyone was surprised to see Edwin, then even more so to see him training fully,” said a United insider.
