Ferguson: We were never in for Sneijder

 Martin Ferguson say they've never made a serious play for Wesley Sneijder.

The Inter Milan star has claimed he came close to joining United in the summer - while he continues to be linked with a switch ahead of the January market.

But Ferguson insisted on Sky Italia: "We've never thought of taking him to Manchester United."
