Manchester United are watching FC Twente defender Douglas.
The Brazilian has just gained his Dutch passport and is being watched by United boss Sir Alex Ferguson's scouts this season.
Douglas can play at centre-half and in midfield and won the Dutch title two years ago under former United assistant manager Steve McClaren.
United enjoy a close relationship with Twente, where their young Brazilian Gladstony will kickoff his European career in January.
