Scholes says more to come from Marnick Vermijl

Paul Scholes says Marnick Vermijl has the ability to make it Old Trafford.

Scholes is working with the defender in his role as assistant coach of the reserve-team.

He told United Review: "The last few weeks, he’s really come on – and you get the impression there’s still more to come from him. He’s physically very fit and strong. He can get up and down as a right-back, he’s capable of scoring goals and making them, and defensively he’s very good.

"He’s strong, physical and quick. He’s very versatile too, he can play left-back, right-back, centre-midfield… a number of positions, and those types of players are valuable.”
