Chicharito wants to stay at Premier League champions for some while

Javier Hernandez has admitted that he hopes to be at Manchester United in 10 years' time.

The 23-year-old moved to Old Trafford last summer from Mexican club Guadalajara and became an instant hit in England, scoring 20 goals as the Red Devils won a record-breaking 19th Premier League title and reached the final of the Champions League.

That form saw him linked with a move to Real Madrid, but 'Chicharito' is not even thinking about leaving Manchester United.

Asked what his targets were, the Mexican told MUTV: "To improve, keep learning and to enjoy myself.

"Hopefully in 10 years I'll still be here and saying the same thing, because this life - playing for United - is a dream for me, and I just want to keep enjoying it and working hard."

The forward has yet to start a game for United this season after being given a prolonged rest over the summer after he led his nation to Concacaf Gold Cup glory, finishing as the competition's top scorer with seven goals.

England youngster Danny Welbeck has been given a chance to partner Wayne Rooney up top in the club's opening four games, while Tom Cleverley, Phil Jones and David de Gea have all impressed, and Hernandez revealed that the hunger of the side's younger players can push the team on.

"The younger players run a little more and want to show why they are in the team, and that can only be good for us," he continued.

"But it's great because there are other players here with lots of experience too."
