Hoffenheim, Hannover battle for striker Diouf

German clubs are circling for striker Mame Biram Diouf.

The Senegalese has been made available by United manager Sir Alex Ferguson for loan this month.

The Daily Mail says Hannover 96 and Hoffenheim have shown interest in taking Diouf on temporary terms.

Ferguson admits Diouf, Kuszczak could go

 Sir Alex Ferguson expects two more departures this month.

He admits that he hopes to loan out Mame Biram Diouf and appreciates keeper Tomasz Kuszczak needs regular football.

"I'd still like for Diouf to go out on loan," Ferguson told manutd.com. "It would probably do him the world of good.

"Kuszczak needs to get football. I'm surprised nobody's actually come in for Tomasz.

"Other than that, we need a strong squad. There's signs that one or two are coming back, of course, but we need a strong squad and, hopefully, we've got that for the remainder of the season."

Everton chasing striker Diouf

Everton are chasing striker Mame Biram Diouf.

The People says the Goodison chief sent number two Steve Round in a delegation to watch the Senegalese hit man score twice for the reserves against Liverpool last week.

Moyes is keen on Diouf and is also aware that United have a long-term interest in Jack Rodwell who has hit form this season and may be a big-money target next month.

United were hot on Rodwell a year ago and Sir Alex Ferguson may have a go for him as he faces up to problems in his midfield.

Ferguson says Macheda, Diouf set for loan

 Sir Alex Ferguson says his young strikers are likely to go out on-loan in January.

Ferguson blamed the Palace defeat of United's second-string side on the lack of competitive football that his young players have had, and said he may send Federico Macheda and Mame Biram Diouf out on loan in January.

He said: "The problem is the type of reserve league we have now, it's really a youth league, and that is a big problem.

"It [the defeat] bothers me in the sense that the level of training we do was let down.

"For us it was Rafael's first game, Darron Gibson's first game, Mame Diouf's only played four games this season, Macheda only his third game. That's not enough football to play in the quarter-final of a League Cup I'm afraid. That caught us and I was surprised of the level of fitness of Crystal Palace against us.

"In terms of match play we were certainly short."

Asked about the players going out on loan he added: "It works well for all young players to get game time and that's what we are looking at for Macheda and Diouf, they need game time, there is no question about that. Every young players wants to play and we have to give them that opportunity."

Cologne favourites to land attacker Diouf

FC Cologne are seeking a loan deal for striker Mame Biram Diouf.

A selection of other European clubs have also expressed an interest in the player, but Cologne, managed by Stale Solbakken, have an advantage.

Solbakken's brother, Norwegian super-agent Jim Solbakken, is Diouf's agent, and already represents a number of German-based talents.

Mame Biram Diouf believes another loan move would benefit his Old Trafford career

 Mame Biram Diouf believes that a further spell on loan would benefit both himself and his club.

The forward arrived at Old Trafford from Norwegian outfit Molde in 2009 and was immediately loaned back to the club currently managed by Red Devils legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Diouf then secured another temporary move to Blackburn Rover last season where he featured 26 times, scoring on three occasions.

The 23-year-old believes he may need to depart from United once more on loan to gain more first-team action, instead of fighting it out with more experienced figures such as Wayne Rooney, Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Owen.

"It is not easy for me, but to be honest unless you are [Lionel] Messi or [Cristiano] Ronaldo you are not going to get in the attack of Manchester United," he told Sky Sports.

"Sometimes you have a winner of the Golden Ball [Owen] or last season's top scorer (Berbatov) not even on the bench, in the last game the striker substitutes were Rooney and Hernandez.

"I will keep on fighting and see, going on a loan to play regularly would benefit both parties."

Man Utd planning to sell Diouf

Manchester United are ready to listen to offers for Mame Biram Diouf.

The People says United will put him in the shop window by sending him out on loan to a Championship club.

United have slapped a massive £6million price tag on Diouf, 23, who they singed from Norwegian club Molde for £3.75m in 2009.

And, in a bid to attract potential buyers, the Old Trafford club will cover roughly half of his £15,000 a week wages to get him out on loan.

Diouf puzzled by Blackpool link

Mame Biram Diouf is in the dark over talk of a move to Blackpool.

The Senegal marksman, who was loaned to Blackburn last season, was reportedly wanted by Seasiders boss Ian Holloway.

The 23-year-old former Molde man wants to stay at Old Trafford and fight for a first-team place despite the fact Sir Alex Ferguson has a raft of strikers at his disposal.

"I've not heard about that one," he said of Blackpool's reported interest on Sky Sports News.

"People are asking me about Blackpool, but no one's spoken to me. It's all just rumours.

"Of course I'd like to stay at Manchester United, everyone dreams about playing for this club.

"When I got a chance to be with them I always wanted to be here. I want to win trophies here.

"I'll do my best, but we'll see what happens after pre-season."
