Man Utd make Sigurdsson check

Hoffenheim have slapped a £10 million price-tag on Gylfi Sigurdsson.

The Daily Mail says Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton are all chasing Swansea loan star Sigurdsson - but parent club Hoffenheim will not let him leave on the cheap slapping a £10million on the midfielder.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish, Everton coach Jimmy Lumsden and United spy Martin Ferguson all watched Sigurdsson dazzle against Bolton on Saturday.

Man Utd revive interest in Bolton tyro Mark Davies

Manchester United are reviving their interest in Bolton Wanderers midfielder Mark Davies.

United have been tracking Davies since he quit Wolves to join Bolton two years ago, with manager Sir Alex Ferguson posting Paul Scholes to make regular checks on him.

On the weekend, United chief scout Martin Ferguson was in the stands to see Davies in action against Swansea City.

Trotters boss Owen Coyle has likened Davies to Geordie legend Paul Gascoigne.

Man Utd attempt to snap up Everton fullback Baines for knockdown fee

Manchester United are lining up a move for Everton fullback Leighton Baines.

The Sunday Mirror says United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is hopeful that a £5m bid will be enough to persuade the Merseyside club to sell.

Ferguson has hinted that Fabio Da Silva will spend next season out on loan and, with Patrice Evra turning 31 next month, the Scot is said to be keen to bring in Baines as an eventual successor.

Man Utd won't pressure Pogba to commit

Manchester United won't pressure Paul Pogba about signing a new contract.

His agent, Mino Raiola, doesn't expect the French youngster to wait until the end of the season to make a decision.

"No, I think he'll make the decision when his heart and head is ready to make the decision and there is no date fixed on that," said Raiola, who added that United have not told the player they require a decision by July for the new pre-season.

"Manchester United is behaving like a true gentleman's club, giving the boy all the space to decide. They know it is a difficult decision and [he is] a young boy. So it doesn't make any sense and wouldn't be right to pressure."
