Blackburn Rovers are chasing Manchester United pair Darron Gibson and Danny Welbeck.
The Sunday Mirror says Rovers boss Steve Kean has now approached Sir Alex Ferguson about some of Old Trafford’s fringe players - midfielder Gibson is a possibility, England striker Welbeck an ambitious, but unlikely, dream.
The fact Rovers are turning to United so soon after they took Jones off them in acrimonious fashion proves that times change quickly in football.
