Chris Smalling was happy to be back in central defence for Manchester United last night.
The 21-year old returned to the middle for the 2-0 away win over Otelul Galati in the Champions League after impressive performances at right-back which saw him gain an England call-up.
But Smalling indicates that he revels as a centre-back and is keen to make the position his own.
“It was nice to be back in central defence," he said. "That is my favourite position and I want to play as many games as I can there.
"But if I can contribute in any way, I will just give of my best."
