Veron knows from first-hand experience how the Manchester United manager lets nothing stand in his way of success.
He told the People: “I had a good relationship with Alex Ferguson, but he is a unique person, you know. He chooses his favourite players and lets go of other players.
“For example, [Ruud] Van Nistelrooy scored 60 goals in two seasons but Ferguson pushed him to leave Man United! He did the same with me. When I arrived Ferguson loved me, but then he started to push me aside.”
