During his 25 years at Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson has broken plenty of transfer records.

Over the 25 years, Ferguson has as spent £508million on 101 players.

But the first £250,000 was handed over at a tribunal to land Arsenal defender Viv Anderson in the summer of 1987.
